Who is @danielhoang
Welcome and thanks for visiting my twitter profile page. Unlike the twitter profile page limit of 160 characters, this gives you an opportunity to learn more about me before you consider following me: @danielhoang. Additionally, it outlines my key twitter guidelines on how I use twitter.
Who I am
- I am not a social media expert, SEO, online consultant, or visionary. This stuff is pretty straight forward and if you’re already reading this, then you don’t need my advice, or anyone else’s for that matter.
- I don’t tweet (unless its something of value) about twitter. We get it, you’re on twitter and you love it. Maybe you should talk about twitter using a different channel, to introduce those that aren’t on twitter to twitter (e.g., blogs, forums, dinner conversations).
How I use Twitter
- To publish relevant and interesting links to articles, blogs, and media that I find useful.
- To retweet and promote worthy news.
- To learn from people I follow and to discover new contacts.
- To gauge what the community is current interested in.
Follow/@Reply/DM Protocol
- I will only follow you if your tweet stream is interesting (e.g., isn’t fully of @replies, links, or self-promotion). It should be a diverse mix of links, retweets, original insights, timely announcements, and some personal updates (it’s interesting to know that you’re a real person).
- If our @reply conversation carries on beyond two or three public replies, I will take it offline (via DM or email), unless the conversation has public value to both our followers.
- When possible, I will use DM to communicate, particularly if the message is personal in nature.
