A Message from Daniel Hoang

Welcome to danielhoang.com, the flagship of self-titled websites. I’ve owned and published to this domain since April of 2000. It’s evolved from a personal journal, professional portfolio, photo site, and finally as a WordPress blog. In the early days, I used a tool created by Microsoft that allows Word documents to be exported into rudimentary HTML. Later on, the site was created with notepad, and even Dreamweaver. Over eight years later, this site has grown to become a showcase of my personal and professional interests.

The following outlines the policies that this site abides by. The overarching principle for this site is full disclosure and transparency. Any influencing incentives will be clearly marked and disclosed, even at my disadvantage. If a monetization program does not allow me to clearly mark it as so, it will not be implemented on this site.

All content published on this site is opinions expressed based on facts and research that I believe are accurate and complete. While comments are greatly appreciated, spam, self-promotion, or personal attacks to other readers will not be tolerated and deleted immediately. As owner and publisher of this blog, I reserve the right to edit or remove comments. Where comments are edited, it will be clearly noted.

Monetary Compensation

This site uses two methods for monetization. First, Google Adsense placed sparsely in the right column. I will continually monitor the ads to ensure that it is appropriate for the content of this site. Additionally, Adsense is also placed at the bottom of the RSS feed. Secondly, this site uses affiliate programs to refer visitors to services that I recommend. In all cases, the referrals will be to products that I actually use and continue to use. For example, Dreamhost web hosting services and Thesis WordPress theme. In all instances, any monetary compensation, either direct or indirect will be clearly marked and identified.

If my monetary compensation exceeds the cost of running the site, I will disclose financial reports on a quarterly basis.
