In my journey to become a better consultant, I’m reading “Now you see it: Simple Visualization Techniques for Quantitative Analysis,” by Stephen Few. Below are a few traits he listed for a good analyst:

  • Interested
  • Curious
  • Self-motivated
  • Open-minded and flexible
  • Imaginative
  • Skeptical
  • Aware of what’s worthwhile
  • Methodical
  • Capable of spotting patterns
  • Analytical
  • Synthetical
  • Familiar with the data
  • Skilled in the practices of data analysis

What do you think?
