I signed up for a Jott account after all the buzz and hype. It’s basically a toll-free number, (866) JOTT-123, that you call and leave a 30-second message. Jott will then transcribe your message and post it on your Jott page. You can configure it to send via e-mail, SMS, or to other web services such as Twitter.
I first used Jott when I arrived at the airport parking and was scambling to find a pen to write down my parking location. Instead, I whipped out my phone, called Jott and said: “I am parked at 3E.” I spoke slowly and clearly, worried about the “E3″ part. It came out perfectly. I was even able to log onto the mobile site to see my Jott post.
There’s a delay between the time you Jott to the time it gets distributed. It’s also great to Jott in the car, rather than fumble with SMS while driving. This author does not condone texting while driving.
A list of all your Jotts shows up like above. There are a number of users who are also integrating note software such as Evernote with Jott to track all their notes.
