Employee Evolution

by Daniel Hoang on November 18, 2007

60 Minutes has a piece on Millennials, or the Gen Y’s. There’s no clear cut time frame for what makes a Gen Y but typically, it’s those born from 1980 to 1995. As baby boomers are beginning to retire, there’s a huge increase in demand for the labor force and a limited supply of Gen Y.

One of my favorite sites I’ve been visiting often is Employee Evolution. It’s a site where Gen Y’s can post their opinions on the job market and how being a minority in the labor market is soon to be interesting as the minority begins to become the majority. This whole new generation grew up overly protected and overly entitled to their wealth. It’s also the most educated generation to come to the workforce.

More to come…
